Happy Halloween witchy friends! Last night, I had a few friends over for a Halloween movie night. This is a great idea to either do before or on Halloween because it is a very simple thing to do with some good company, especially with all the stress of work and school going on right now. So here is how to make your Halloween movie night even more spooky:
Tip #1: Get out the tasty treats! One of the biggest part of any movie night are the snacks so you got to make sure you are stocked up with all the goods. I created a snack table using Halloween decorations, pumpkins, and treats in festive bowls. I had popcorn bowls for the guests to fill with all the snacks of their choice. I also had a pumpkin bowl filled with an assortment of Halloween candy, a large bowl for chips, and a package of Halloween gummies. You can get really creative with this and even bake your own festive treats!
Tip #2: Baking station! Baking with friends is always enjoyable because although it can go terribly wrong sometimes, it always turns out to be an enjoyable experience. I got pumpkin cupcake and cookie mix (of course you have to be festive) with some cute witchy cupcake cases and supplies to decorate the cupcakes. It was a unique idea that the guests really enjoyed because we got to decorate cupcakes as well as make tasty treats!
Tip #3: Pumpkin decorating! Whether it be carving pumpkins or just decorating them, it is a creative idea that your guests will enjoy. We painted ours and had a fun time comparing our designs and trying to make them look like popular characters. Once they are done, you can send your guests home with their pumpkin and cupcakes.
Tip #4: Pick an array of great Halloween movies and a cozy/festive setting! Make sure that you have a good combination of classical Halloween movies and horror movies in order to make sure that there will be a movie that everyone will like. Also, make sure to decorate the space you will be using as your movie theater and have blankets and pillows to set the chill tone of the night.
Tip #5: Go out to a real Halloween setting! To end the night after preparing yourselves with horror movies, it is always fun to go out and actually get a scare up close. We went to a haunted house and maze which was very well done and definitely enjoyable and just gets everyone super pumped for Halloween. There are usually local haunted mazes nearby that you can find if you look it up!
I hope everyone has an amazing and spooky Halloween! xx
