It has been a long time since I have written on here and I am so glad to be back. University is such a time-consumer and this past semester was incredibly stressful, but we finally made it and the summer break is now here! I have spent a lot of time adapting to life at home, spending time with loved ones, getting back to work, and overall just getting back into a routine. Amidst all these changes, there are many products that have been lifesavers recently or that I have just been absolutely adoring.
FASHION
~ Zara
I have been recently LOVING their newest summer 2019 collection. It is filled with whites, beiges, and pastel colours that are super flattering. I definitely recommend checking out their newest clothes in store! You can check out some of the pieces I picked up here:
~ Heeled sandals
These type of cute summery shoes have been my go-to recently. Even though summer is not fully upon us, I still trick myself into feeling like it by wearing cute sandals. Let's be honest, I am not a very tall gal; however, I love to fake it with a comfy pair of heels. Put the two factors together and you get the perfection of heeled sandals. My most recent pair is from ALDO which is also featured in the video above. They go with so many outfits and really add an extra something to your casual spring outfit.
~ Depop
Since coming home from university, I realized that I have WAY too many clothes and no place to put them all. I have been using Depop to sell my older clothes that do not fit anymore. It is super easy and convenient to use, especially when spring cleaning. If you wanted to check out my closet on Depop, you can check it out here.
My skin has been going through a rough time recently and has been breaking out like never before which I can account to "post exam stress." This moisturizer from Boscia has been hydrating my skin so nicely and evening out my complexion. It leaves me with smooth skin all day and I highly recommend it to anyone with dry or uneven skin. It is a little pricy but you use very very little when applying since even just the tiniest amount of this product goes a long way.
With my skin trying to revitalize itself, my eyes have been dry too. This moisturizer not only soothes the skin but effectively brightens up the dark circles under my eyes (thank you finals for that) for days after only a one time use. 10/10 recommend!
LIFESTYLE
I have been completely obsessed with using Pinterest recently. I am moving into my apartment soon so I have spent hours scrolling through my feed to look for new decor ideas and recipes. There is something for everyone on there and I highly recommend it for a little bit of inspiration!
I really loved the trend of doing those 1 second a day videos that you see all over Instagram but I had never given it the chance. Since being home from school, I have been using the app and documenting little happy moments. I don't have many videos yet but still looking back on them is such a warming feeling and it encourages me to do something meaningful with my day every day.
~ Journalling and Podcasting
My mental health took a big hit at school this year and since it is summer and I have had more time to focus on my health, I have been getting back into focusing on self-care. Journalling may sound boring to some but I have found that it genuinely helps me and allows me to get out my feelings so that I can move on from whatever was trapped inside. I also started a podcast recently called Girl Recovering where I talk about my mental health journey and experiences and I would love it if you get a chance to check it out! Podcasting has encouraged me to start the conversation about breaking the mental health stigma and growing a community of people with similar experiences to me.
BURGA has super cute and aesthetically pleasing cases that I genuinely love and protect my phone so well. It is really hard to find cute cases that actually protect your devices but I completely love these ones! If you use the link above, you can get 15% off your next purchase (valid until May 31).
Stay tuned for more content coming very soon and let me know in the comments what I should try next!
