Makeup Essentials: Reviews
09:35:00
Hey fashionistas! Many of you liked
my last post about what was in my bag so here are some of my essentials that
are usually in my everyday makeup bag.
SmashBox Camera Ready
BB Cream
|
NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz |
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sin |
Maybelline Lashsentational Mascara |
I have mentioned this product various times on my YouTube
channel or blog because I love it so much. I usually am a sucker for Maybelline
mascaras because they are the best drugstore mascaras in my opinion. This
product elongates the lashes and add volume and the brush curls the lashes. However,
it can be flakey with prolonged wear.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Stick in 002 Bulletproof Beige |
One of my favourite ways to quickly
do an eye shadow look (that looks like I actually had enough time in the
morning) are shadowsticks. I have found many in the past, but this Rimmel one
is amazing. I like it the best because it has a thick diameter which covers
more space at once and it very pigmented. This base also lasts throughout the
day. I use this colour the most because
it is a light, goldy-bronze shade which complements my green eyes. I definitely
recommend this product if you want to wear eye shadow, but never have enough
time.
Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in 70 Barely Branded |
This is another Maybelline product
I always mention. Maybelline’s Color Tattoo line is my absolute favourite way
to prime my eyes or use as a base. The product stays on all day (can even be
hard to take off at night) and is completely waterproof. It is a good
inexpensive alternative to primers such as the Urban Decay Primer Potion or the
Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer. If you want to wear it just as an eyeshadow
and not as a base, it has great cover payoff no matter the colour. Currently, I
use “Barely Branded” on a daily basis because it is a white, neutral, shimmery
cream shadow, but I also use “Bad to the Bronze” for night looks as it is more bronzy
and sultry.
Chloe Eau de Parfum Roller Ball Perfume |
Recently, I have been into roller
ball perfumes because they are so much easier to carry around and reapply
throughout the day. I found this one at Sephora through recommendation as it is
one of their popular scents and it is absolutely amazing. It has a
sophisticated scent which is also feminine and slightly strong. I find that
this product I can still smell at the end of the day especially when I apply it
to my jaw and neck. The negatives of this product is that it is pricy and is a
pretty strong scent so I do not recommend it for people that are not good with
powerful scents. I hope you enjoyed this review and that it helped you out with your beauty essentials! xx
