As we hit the middle of summer, we do not have time to pick out that perfect summer-day-out outfit but instead, just want to grab and get out the door. I have found myself gravitating toward the same five staples that find their way into my outfit.
1. Maxi/Midi Skirts
These skirts can be found anywhere and they scream sunshine. They are so flowy and breathable thus being perfect for the summertime heat. These types of skirts are great to toss on whether it be to a casual or formal event as they can easily be taken from day to night with a change in accessories. Maxi and midi skirts are super flattering (and I'm short so that is saying something) and can really reflect your style in just one clothing piece.
2. White Crop Top
A staple summer essential that has been around for many years is the basic crop top. I personally have found myself buying (and wearing to absolute death) white ones with intricate details on them. They are very breathable and again, perfect for those extremely humid summer day but are also effortless to pair with many different pieces such as shorts or skirts. I know some people completely despise the idea of a crop top but there are such a variety of ones to buy and many ways to style them so they fit with your style but also fit with the weather.

I am a big fan of the paperbag waist ties on both trousers and shorts. I have grown so tired of the basic jean short shorts after a while and these types of shorts provide the comfortability of wearing shorts with the sophistication of the trendy design. Again, this staple can be dressed up with a blouse and heels or dressed down with a t-shirt and loafers. This is my go-to day summer outfit and flatters many body types with the tie on the waist to cinch in your shape.
4. Oversized Jean Jacket
Not all summer days (and nights) are always filled with sunshine and warm weather. Throwing on an oversized jean jacket is light enough to give you that extra bit of cover you may need during those colder nights but also looks very chic and on-trend. This staple is easy to bring around and can go with almost any outfit that you style together. I have a more girly aesthetic to my style and jean jackets do not always fit with that but wearing them over top of my usual everyday summer dress can still keep my style consistent while staying warm.
5. Heeled Sandals
Sandals are an obvious summer essential, but adding a heel makes a basic outfit extra fashionable. The heel does not have to be high at all, even the littlest heel can make any outfit have that extra bit of something to it. This can easily make an outfit casual or dressed up. If you are looking to add a little something glamourous to your outfit, try picking up a pair of flattering heeled sandals.
